I am always struggling with the perfect Mother’s Day gift, and I love that a printable can be the perfect gift idea. My mom means the world to me, and I am sure your mom does to you. In order to celebrate the love we all share for our moms, I am sharing this beautiful free printable.
As I am about to start the launch of the Fit Forty Lifestyle community, I decided I needed to share another roundup of some yummy paleo dinner recipes. You don’t have to look too hard to find something that will speak to you and that you will find DOABLE. I know the hardest thing to do when it’s “diet time” it to find something delicious to eat. Or rather, something that YOU find is delicious. Paleo recipes are another great way to keep fit and healthy and to remove those sugars and starches that are not good for you. Check out this great list of yummy paleo dinner recipes.
Hey everyone! I hope everyone has a great month of April so far! I can’t believe it’s almost May and summer is right around the corner! I love summer for multiple reasons….outdoor fun, lake time, BBQs…and it’s a whole lot easier to paint and work on projects with nicer weather! 🙂 That being said, I love the power of paint. For those of you who don’t know a lot about me and my blog, Refashionably Late, I love to refashion furniture! I love how paint can transform a piece of furniture. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure! 🙂
These stools I made over were not junk, I was just tired of them and wanted a change. My mom purchased these bar stools on Amazon for my husband and I as I house warming gift when we moved to Minnesota. We temporarily rented a townhome and my mom wanted to get some stools that were versatile and could but cut shorter for a future home if need be.
Well we are in that future home and we’ve done a lot of adjustments to our kitchen. We painted the tile backsplash, replaced our appliances, painted our kitchen cabinets, painted the walls my favorite color in the world, Requisite Gray by Sherwin Williams, replaced the hardware and changed out a couple light fixtures. I was loving how the kitchen was looking but after the cabinets were white I felt the room needed a pop of color.
I am new to the chalk paint world and I’m really enjoying it! I have used it for a few other projects and love the finish and quickness of using chalk paint. One brand I have been using frequently is Chalkworthy Antiquing Paint. I love how you don’t have to sand your projects ahead of time and it dries so quickly. I used one of their painting brushes and applied two quick coats while catching up on some Netflix. 🙂 Once it was completely dry, I applied their soft wax to protect the paint finish. I love the pop of color it now gives my completed kitchen! It’s the perfect compliment to our “new” kitchen! The photos below were photographed by David, a talented photographer with HomeRight.

Happy Friday, everyone! Justine from Cooking and Beer here once again to share one of my all time favorite dinner recipes with you! I feel like I have been going kind of crazy lately sharing only dessert recipes here on the PinkWhen blog, which is usually totally not my style. I tend to stay on the savory side of things. Number one because I am not the most amazing baker on the planet, and two because I tend to lean towards the saltier side of things. This roasted lemon pepper pork tenderloin with cornbread stuffing is a staple in my household. Tender pork tenderloin is seasoned with super savory lemon pepper seasoning, roasted, sliced, and laid out on a bed of luscious cornbread stuffing. I’m a firm believer that you can never have enough cornbread in your life!
Staying fit and healthy is a super high priority for me. (In fact, you can join our secret Facebook group where we share all things fit and healthy and motivate each other….because it’s easier when you have a tribe of people just like YOU!) What you ingest is about 80% of what can make you or break you in your quest to be fit. I LOVE a delicious and healthy dinner. It’s not often that I do a double take when I am creating a delicious recipe, but this one made my whole family do a double take. It was THAT good. If you love a good chicken dinner, and want something that is actually quickly prepared and baked, then this is a recipe you will love. If you are a fan of caprese salads, you are going to LOVE this Basil Infused Balsamic Oven Baked Chicken. It’s another winner/winner chicken dinner you are going to devour.

This almond blueberry coffee cake is perfect as we head into prime brunch season, and while it would have been absolutely perfect for Easter Sunday, it’s also the perfect coffee cake for Mother’s Day, Sunday brunch, or just your average Wednesday!

If you are like me you have either fallen into the nasty habit of skipping breakfast or grabbing something completely unhealthy at the local coffee drive thru. I have successfully bucked that nasty habit and have started a new lifestyle trend in our home. Starting the day off right with a healthy breakfast is important, and starting the day off with a berry-licious smoothie bowl is even better! It takes just as long to make a smoothie bowl as it does to make a waffle. Don’t believe me? Check this out.
