Even though I can’t keep the kids from putting their hands in their mouths, I can help prevent the spread of germs.
Home Cleaning Ideas
One of the things I have done to make life a little easier is make a list of areas that I want to have clean on a daily basis. I know it can sound like overkill, but just a few minutes every day will really help reduce and decrease the chance of spreading germs.
One of my favorite cleaning items is the new Lysol® Daily Cleanser and the Lysol® Daily Cleanser Wipes that are free from harsh chemical residue, ammonia, fragrances, and dyes. In fact, you can kill 99.9% of germs when using the spray! I would say the odds are now in my favor.
Easy 3 Ingredient Home Cleaning Items
With only three ingredients, Lysol Daily Cleanser Spray is safe to use on food surfaces, toys, pet areas, baby areas, and even pacifiers! They are free from harsh chemicals, so that means you don’t have to rinse after cleaning.

Daily Home Cleaning Areas
I’ve created a chore list for myself. Every day we do this home cleaning list, and the best part is that it only takes a few minutes.
Telephone Handset Cleaning: I like to use the Lysol Daily Cleanser Wipes to make sure the surfaces, keys, ear and mouthpieces are all given a good once over wipe down.
Kitchen Counter Tops: One of the most used surfaces in the house, we always make sure our countertops are sprayed and cleaned before cooking, and once again at the end of the day.
Light Switches in Common Areas: I don’t go through the entire house, but I do make sure to follow up on cleaning the light switches in the common areas. I try and use wipes on all of the bathroom, kitchen, and living area light switches.
Door Handles: As with the light switches, I don’t wander through all of the rooms in the house, but I do hit the main areas. Areas include the kitchen, bathroom, and garage and back door areas that we use the most.
Monthly Cleaning Schedule
Those daily area wipe down sessions have really helped our cozy family of six. I also add a monthly (and sometimes bi-weekly) deep clean to my chore list. If you are like me, you want to do touch ups on a regular basis. I will spray and disinfect all of my daily areas and follow up with a paper towel to dry the surfaces.
