When I started working on this summer series, this was one of my favorites to work on, so I had to share it first. This Outdoor Memory Game will keep the kiddos busy for a while, and they love to grab it out of their Outdoor Summer Fun Crate. Have you EVER seen an oversized memory game? I haven’t, so I thought this would be fun, and BOY was I ever right! You can download these free printables to make your very own Outdoor Memory Game. It is really fun, and it keeps the kids entertained outside AND inside when the weather isn’t cooperating.

Summer is such a fun time for little ones. Some of my favorite and most memorable life experiences come from my childhood summertime memories. I was always outside when I was younger because I had a TON of energy.
This year I am helping the kiddos expel some of that pent up energy by creating a fun summer series of crafts and ideas to keep them entertained for some of their summers.
Just simply print out all of the attached picture files and you and your children will be on the way to having a wonderful time outside with this larger than a normal memory game. These are all fun animal pics I grabbed out of PicMonkey, one of my favorite photo sites to play on.

cute idea, but how much did it cost to have it printed on the heavier cardstock?
Thanks! I can’t remember, but it wasn’t that much at all. I think places like Costco are super cheap if you have one around!
What a fun idea! Love it! Thanks for sharing!
I think this would be a fun way to play bingo too! Kids could either turn the picture over or just pick it up.
One could also use letters! Just buy some card stock, and use a heavy marker. (saves you printing cost, too!) Great for little ones learning letter recognition, and upper and lower case! Start out with letters in child’s name, and expand!
I have an inexpensive laminator (under 20 bucks at Aldi) that would make even printer paper durable. This is a cute idea.
This is like the most amazing thing I’ve come across in months (don’t judge me) and I can’t believe I didn’t come up with it on my own.
Love this – it’s one of our favourite games but had never thought of taking it outside.
