Boo Pillow Tutorial

I have been a bit busy over the past several days with projects! I hope you have enjoyed all of the Halloween and Fall posts that you have been seeing here lately.

Today I am going to share with you a fairly easy Simple Sewing Boo pillow tutorial. Here are a few things you will need for this pillow:

  • 12×22 Pillow Insert Form
  • 2 pieces of fabric 14″ x 24″
  • sewing machine
  • heat transfer
  • Silhouette (not necessary, but makes this much easier!)

To get started, open up your Silhouette software (if you have a Silhouette) and type in your phrase. Once you have the size and length how you would like it, mirror the image, insert shiny side down, and hit cut. If you DO NOT have a SIlhouette machine (what are you waiting for?) you can still do this project, it’s just a little harder.

You can print out the design on your printer, cut out the design, and use this as a stencil to attach and then cut out your heat transfer design.

Once you have your design cut out, go ahead and weed away any extra vinyl, and then place on top of one of your fabric pieces.

After you have your design attached to your fabric, iron on your transfer per the instructions and then you are ready to sew.

Boo Stencil

With right sides together, sew both long sides (top and bottom) and one short side. Insert your pillow form, and then using a straight stitch finish sewing the pillow closed. What did I tell you….simple sewing!!

Quick and easy Boo pillow to have around the house, or on the front porch! I hope you have enjoyed this quick and easy Boo pillow tutorial.

Thanks Lisa! I am addicted to the SIlhouette, too many cool things to make to NOT have one. Besides, all the girls love using them and being crafty!
