Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns

Instructions

  • Prepare the air fryer basket by using a nonstick spray or parchment paper.
  • Place 2-4 hot dogs on the basket in a single layer.
  • Cook on 390 degrees for 4-5 minutes. If you want crispy buns, add the hot dog buns during the last minute of cook time.
  • Remove the hotdogs from the Air Fryer and place them in hot dogs buns.
  • Top with your favorite toppings and serve.

Notes

  1. Your personal taste is going to dictate the best type or brand of hot dog to use in the air fryer. I personally like to use beef brisket dogs, but you can use your favorite. Just make sure you also correlate your hot dogs with the bun length.
  2. The options are almost limitless and depend on when and why you're serving them, but some of my favorite items to serve with hot dogs include pasta salad, tater tots, french fries, sweet potato fries, pasta salads, and more.
  3. I love the basic ketchup and mustard on the top of each hot dog, but you can also add cheese, mayo, chili, relish, barbecue sauce, sour cream, onions, and more.
  4. Want to Air Fry the Hot Dog buns, too? You can! The hot air ensures you have crispy buns. If you are looking to have a light, crispy hot dog, consider adding the bun during the last minute of cooking.
