Melt chocolates in a microwave safe bowl. For best results, use a shallow bowl. Because chocolate can burn, when melting in the microwave, start with 60 seconds, and then stir. Continue microwaving in 30 second increments, stirring after each time.
For a smooth finish, use a clean dipping tool or fork tines and dip the cookie into the melted chocolate.
Working quickly, dip into the bowl of chocolate, spooning additional chocolate to completely coat the cookie. Gently tap or shake the cookie to let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
Place Oreos on parchment paper and let chocolate cool for 10-15 minutes to let chocolate set.
Once cookies are all dipped, melt additional chocolate, in a contrasting color, and use a spoon or piping bag to add an additional drizzle of chocolate on top of cookie.

Tips:
Although chocolate cookies in chocolate are decadent, double stuff Oreos, peanut butter Oreos, and golden Oreos, are all delicious with an extra outer layer of chocolate.
To make these Oreo Pops for parties or on the go treats, slide the cookies onto lollipop sticks.
Make festive chocolate covered Oreos by adding color theme candy sprinkles or use color candy melts. You can also sprinkle finely chopped nuts, desiccated coconut, or small candies on top of Oreos, before the chocolate fully sets.
These dipped Oreos can easily be made for Valentine's Day, Halloween, Birthday Parties, or other holidays, by using pastels and other fun color candy melts.
