210.75 ounce cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1ozdry au jus mix
1cupbeef broth
1/2tsppepper
1tspdried oregano flakes
1tspItalian seasoning
1/2tspthyme
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, pepper, oregano, thyme, Italian seasoning, bread crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 6 beef patties.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cover the steak patties in flour just to coat, and then place them into the hot skillet to quickly brown on both sides.
Place browned patties into the slow cooker stacking alternately. Stack the beef patties on top of each other and evenly over the bottom of the Crock Pot liner.
Combine the gravy ingredients into a medium bowl. Mix together the mushroom soup, au jus mix, and beef broth. Pour the mixture evenly over the patties. Cover with lid.
Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours or High setting for 2-3 hours until ground beef is well done.
Notes
If you decide to serve it over a carb, think about serving it over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, and even over rice. You can also serve over cauliflower rice. For sides, I typically serve it with green beans, but you can also serve it with freshly cooked corn or sliced carrots. You can substitute lean ground turkey for lean ground beef. You might also want to change the beef broth to chicken broth and the au jus or beef gravy packet for a turkey gravy packet.
