Instant Pot Monkey Bread Recipe

This easy Instant pot Monkey Bread Recipe will have your whole family excited! Perfect for a breakfast or a dessert.

  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 packages biscuit dough cut into small bite sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup water


  • To get started, add the 1 1/2 cup of water to the Instant Pot and add the trivet. 
  • In a large ziplock bag, add the white sugar, cinnamon, and biscuit dough. Shake well until everything is coated evenly. 
  • Place a long strip of foil that is rolled into the bottom of the Instant Pot. Make sure the sides of the foil come up to the top of the pot.
  • Place the dough mixture into a small bundt pan. Place the bundt pan over the foil on the trivet (using the foil as a sling). The foil is going to be used as makeshift handles to easily remove the bundt pan from the Instant Pot. 
  • Place the lid and lock it securely in place. Set the manual mode for 20 minutes and allow the bread to cook.
  • Once the timer has finished, do a quick release and carefully remove the bundt cake from the Instant Pot. (Be very careful as the cake pan will still be very hot.)
  • Over medium heat melt the butter, vanilla, and brown sugar. Place the monkey bread on a plate and drizzle with the butter and brown sugar sauce.
  • Serve warm.
