Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

Homemade Pizza Rolls

  • 1 pizza dough Pillsbury Thin Crust
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup pepperonis cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp water

Frozen Totino's Pizza Rolls

  • 20 pizza rolls Totino's brand is my favorite

Instructions

Homemade Pizza Rolls

  • Roll out the pizza dough and use a large cookie cutter to create 5" circles.
  • Add a tablespoon of pizza sauce to the middle of the dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, pepperonis, and additional toppings on the pizza sauce. Careful to not overfill the rolls.
  • Whisk the egg and water together. Use a brush to brush the inner edges of the dough. Fold over the dough and then press down to seal the edges. Use a fork to seal the edges completely. Continue with the remainder of the pizza rolls.
  • Place the pizza rolls into the prepared Air Fryer basket. Prepare the basket with nonstick spray or with parchment paper. Line the basket with the pizza rolls in a single layer. Air fry the pizza rolls on 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Serve with extra pizza sauce or marinara sauce for dipping.

Frozen Totino's Pizza Rolls

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add the pizza rolls to the bottom of the basket and set the cook time for 6 minutes. Flip the pizza rolls halfway at the 3 minute mark.
  • Set the pizza rolls to the side for 2 minutes before serving, they're HOT.

Notes

  1. Spray the basket with olive oil if needed to keep the rolls from sticking.
  2. Use parchment paper rather than olive oil if needed.
  3. For best results, don't overfill the homemade pizza rolls. Overfilling the pizza rolls could cause the rolls to leak during cooking or burst at the top.
  4. Use a fork to seal the edges and make sure to seal them well so they don't leak during the cooking process.
  5. Make sure to fully cook any toppings that need to be cooked before adding them to the rolls. (Ex. ground beef, onions, etc.)
  6. Allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before digging in. They will be hot and you'll be happy to not burn the roof of your mouth.
  7. Store the pizza rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add to an airtight container and freeze them for up to 3 months. To reheat frozen pizza rolls, heat the Air Fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 5-6 minutes.
