This homemade chocolate chip cookie cake is one of our favorite desserts to make for a birthday, or just because. It's delicious, easy, and full of yummy flavor.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 10″ pizza pan or cake pan.
Add the flour, salt, and baking soda to a bowl and set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugars together for two minutes with an electric mixer on medium speed. Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
Pour the flour mixture into butter mixture and mix until combined. Use a wooden spoon to mix in all but two tablespoons of chocolate chips and press the cookie dough into the pie plate/cake pan.
Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top and press them down slightly.
Add the cookie dough to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 22-25 minutes. Let the cookie cool completely and then run a sharp knife along the edge to loosen and then use a large spatula to transfer to a platter.
Pipe on frosting along the edges and add sprinkles.
