Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 Tablespoons unsalted butter melted

Topping

  • 4 Tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Glaze for dipping (optional)

  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 Tablespoons whole milk
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter softened

Instructions
 

  • Combine the flour, salt, cinnamon, and sugar to a large bowl and set aside.
  • Add the yeast to the hot water and let it dissolve.
  • Add the water with yeast to the flour mixture and knead with your hands until fully combined. 
  • Cover the bowl of dough with a dry cloth and allow to sit covered for 30-45 minutes. 
  • Punch down the dough and then set it aside.
  • Dust your work surface with flour and knead the dough lightly.
  • Break the dough into 8 equal pieces. Form a 1" thick rope with each piece. Cut the rope into 1-1 ½" pieces.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare the air fryer basket with a nonstick cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Place the pretzels in the prepared air fryer basket in a single layer, careful to leave a little room in between each one. Cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-7 minutes or until they are golden brown. 
  • Remove the pretzel bites from the air fryer and brush the tops with melted butter. 
  • Mix the cinnamon, sugar, and brown sugar together and dip the pretzels in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving. 
  • Serve the glaze as a dipping sauce.

How to Make the Glaze Dipping Sauce

  • Add the powdered confectioner's sugar, whole milk, vanilla, and melted butter to a medium bowl. Use a whisk and mix well and serve. (You may need to add a little milk depending on your preferred consistency.
