Air Fried Chocolate Chip Cookies on a white table ready to eat.

Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies

Jennifer
Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies are some of my favorite cookies to make when I'm craving soft, doughy, cookies but don't want to make an entire batch. Made with brown sugar, vanilla, chocolate chips, and more!

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter salted, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Add the flour and baking powder to a large bowl and set aside.
  • Cream together the sugar, brown sugar, and butter using a handheld mixer or a stand mixer on medium speed.
  • Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well on low speed until combined, about 1 minute.
  • Pour the sugar and butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well. Pour in the chocolate chips and fold into the cookie dough until just combined.
  • Prepare the air fryer basket with a nonstick cooking spray or a piece of air fryer parchment paper.
  • Scoop the cookies into the air fryer basket using a small 1" cookie scoop. Make sure to keep space in between each cookie to allow it to spread during the cooking process.
  • Air fry the cookies at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-8 minutes, or until the cookies are a light golden brown. For larger cookies, air fryer for 8-9 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the cookies to cool in the air fryer basket for a minute or two before transferring the cookies to a wire rack to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

How long do I cook Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies?

Cook smaller cookies in the air fryer at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. For larger cookies, cook for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown along the edges.

How do I store the remaining cookie dough?

If you're going to make small batch of cookies during the week, store the leftover cookie dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you're going to freeze the cookie dough, use a cookie scoop to make cookie dough balls. Place the balls of dough in a single layer in an airtight container. Top the cookie dough balls with a piece of parchment paper and then add additional cookie dough balls to the top. Once finished, place the air tight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to 3 months.

How do I make frozen cookies in the air fryer?

Remove the frozen cookie dough from the freezer and allow the dough to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes. Place the frozen cookie dough in the air fryer basket and air fry the cookies at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 7-8 minutes for smaller cookies, or 9-10 minutes for larger cookies.
This air fryer cookie recipe was made using a 5.8-quart Cosori Air Fryer. If you're using a different air fryer, you may need to adjust the cooking time and add a minute or two or even take away a little time. It's always best to do a small batch test the first time you make these air fry cookies.
