  • 6-quart slow cooker
  • Medium mixing bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 beef chuck roast 3-4 pounds
  • 1 packet 1 ounce dry onion soup mix
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounces can
  • 1 cup apple cider unfiltered

Instructions
 

  • Spray lightly with nonstick spray the inside of a large crock pot insert.
  • Add the raw beef chuck roast to the bottom of the crock pot.
  • Whisk together the dry onion soup mix, condensed cream of mushroom soup and apple cider in a medium sized bowl. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the cider/soup mixture over the top of the beef chuck roast, making sure it runs down the sides of the meat.
  • Cover with lid and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours, until the meat is fork tender and pulls apart easily.
  • Shred or pull the beef into large pieces using two forks. Stir to coat the beef with the warm amber sauce.
  • Serve hot roast with spoonfuls of gravy on top.
