Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless ribeye steak 1 to 1.5 inch thickness
  • 2 Tablepsoon olive oil
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 Teaspoons steak seasoning

Instructions

  • Blot the ribeye steaks with paper towels to remove excess moisture and ensure better browning. Brush each steak with olive oil so they are well coated on both sides. Leave for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika and steak spice. Rub the steaks evenly with this seasoning mixture, coating all surfaces for a flavorful and well-seasoned result.
  • Begin frying by preheating the fryer to 400°F (200°C). This will provide the optimal temperature for crispiness on the ribeye steaks. Carefully place the seasoned ribeye steaks into the preheated air fryer basket, being careful not to overload it and to ensure proper air circulation. For medium rare steaks, cook them for 10-12 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time. The cooking time can be adjusted according to the desired degree of doneness.
  • Using a meat thermometer, check the internal temperature of the steaks. For medium rare, the temperature should be 135°F (57°C). Remember that the temperature will rise slightly as the steaks rest.
  • When the ribeye steaks are cooked through, remove them from the fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. This will allow the juices to be redistributed, ensuring juiciness and flavor. Slice the ribeye steaks against the fibers and serve immediately.

Notes

Cook 7 to 9 minutes for medium rare, or 10 to 12 minutes for medium.
