This slow cooker poor man's pea macaroni uses just 5 simple ingredients for an incredibly easy, budget-friendly weeknight dinner your family will love!
Lightly coat the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick spray or butter. Add the uncooked elbow macaroni and the frozen peas.
Pour the milk and water/broth over the top and stir gently to combine, making sure the pasta is mostly covered.
Cover and cook on LOW for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours until the macaroni is almost tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed. (Check the pasta after 1 1/2 hours).
Turn off the slow cooker and gently stir in the cheese.
Cover and let sit for 5 minutes until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth. Serve warm.
