This delicious smokey grilled cream cheese and onion stuffed chicken breast recipe is one of our new favorite recipes. Full of flavor and only a few ingredients!
Cut chicken lengthwise, careful not to cut all the way through.
Stuff chicken breast with cream cheese and onion.
Firmly press the chicken breast closed.
Spray chicken with olive oil based cooking spray.
Rub chicken breast with your favorite chicken seasonings.
Grill until chicken is fully cooked. Generally around 22 minutes with a consistent heat of 350 degrees, and an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Serve immediately.
Oven Roasting Stuffed Chicken Breast
Heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Stuff chicken breast using the above instructions.
Bake in the oven on the center rack for 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Notes
Consider spraying the outside of your chicken with a non-stick olive oil based cooking spray to keep the chicken moist and prevent dryness from the hot temperatures of the grill.
Always make sure the chicken is fully cooked before serving.
