This is my youngest daughter’s first year if school, EVER. In fact, as I am writing this, I am anxiously awaiting to hear how her very first day of Pre K 3 has been. Her starting school is one of the main reasons behind me wanting to do this post for the Say Cheese Pre K Counting Printables. The other is to teach her healthy snack choices.

After school snacks for her are going to be all about healthy choices between fruits and cheeses. I want to make sure her little bones get stronger and her immune system does as well. I can’t really say all of that and make her 3 year old mind understand, but I can make it a FUN process by teaching her to count as well.

I stepped things up a bit by grabbing the Horizon Organic Cheese Shapes. Once she has her counting mastered, she can work on her shapes as well.

With these free printables, we can take them every day and play this game in coordination with her snacks. The goal is to place her healthy cheese snacks in a dish, show her the number, and allow her to pull that number of snacks over to her plate. Simple and rewarding.

Playing this game is such a fun experience for her. While she thinks she is “playing”, she is actually learning and eating well. I printed these out on white cardstock to make them a little more “toddler resistant”.

Healthy snack choices are so important for all of us, but especially our little ones who are constantly growing.
