I don’t know about you, but I have become a HUGE fan of smoothie bowls. It’s one of my favorite things to eat, and it gives me the recommended protein for my morning meal. Not only that, but smoothie bowls are easy to make and easy to eat. It’s like dessert for breakfast, and this blackberry granola smoothie bowl recipe takes the cake.
This year I have been working on eating healthy and working out 5 days a week. So far, so good! One of the biggest things to keep in mind when working out is that your body needs fuel, and not just any kind of fuel. Your body needs protein. In fact, protein helps us keep lean muscle mass.
Most of us get our protein fix in the evenings with dinner, but many experts now recommend that we get 25-30 grams of protein at every single meal. Our bodies process it better when it’s spread out over the day, and most of us skimp out on breakfast.
Today I am going to share with you this easy to make blackberry granola smoothie bowl that has 25 grams of protein, WIN WIN!
- 1/2 cup blackberries
- 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup organic milk
- 1/4 cup granola
- 1 Tbsp flax seed
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1 Tbsp almond slices
- banana slices
- raspberries
Using your favorite blender, add the organic milk, greek yogurt, ice cubes, flax seed, and blackberries. BLEND.
Pour the smoothie mixture into the bowl. Top with banana slices, raspberries, blueberries, granola, and almond slices.

It’s THAT easy to make. I am a huge proponent for getting your protein at every meal, and getting your protein to start your day off on the right track.
Did you know that one cup of organic milk is equal to 8 grams of protein? That’s EASY to do! What makes organic milk so special?
Organic Milk farmers have to abide by certain USDA standards in order to be considered. These strict standards include not using synthetic pesticides, no GMO feed for the livestock, cannot use growth hormones or antibiotics, and never use synthetic pesticides.

I’ve never heard of a smoothie bowl. It looks really good. I am a big believer in fiber and protein. I figure if I choose something that has at least one of those two, I’m good to go!
