This year I have been working on eating healthy and working out 5 days a week. So far, so good! One of the biggest things to keep in mind when working out is that your body needs fuel, and not just any kind of fuel. Your body needs protein. In fact, protein helps us keep lean muscle mass.

Most of us get our protein fix in the evenings with dinner, but many experts now recommend that we get 25-30 grams of protein at every single meal. Our bodies process it better when it’s spread out over the day, and most of us skimp out on breakfast.

I’ve never heard of a smoothie bowl. It looks really good. I am a big believer in fiber and protein. I figure if I choose something that has at least one of those two, I’m good to go!
