Make certain to try our Copycat Chick Fil A Chicken Salad as well. Because why stop with one win when you can have two?!

It’s not that I don’t like going out to eat. I do, I really do. But when I can nail that taste and flavor at a fraction of the cost without having to leave the house, it’s just too tempting to pass up.

Sure, I could go to Chick Fil A in my pajamas and eat their sandwich if I wanted to…but I feel a lot less judgment making this sandwich at home and not worrying about what I’m wearing or what my hair looks like.

My family tends to agree with me on this one as well which is why we’ve made it like a zillion times over the past few months! (and it still is one of our favorite copycat recipes to make!)

COPYCAT CHICK FIL A SANDWICH RECIPE FAQS

Why is the chicken soaked in pickle juice?

Besides being their “thing”, pickle juice is actually a great way to get salt into the chicken which can then, in turn, help to tenderize it as well. Many people feel that this is truly what makes Chick Fil A’s chicken stand out far above the rest.

What should the internal temperature for chicken be to be considered cooked?

In order for your chicken to be safe to eat, it needs to have an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees. Using a meat thermometer to be certain before eating. Here is a great guide from the FDA that you can download with the recommended temperature for all meats, including seafood!

Soaking chicken breast in pickle brine?! Oh, that is such a clever idea. I bet meat becomes flavorful and more tender. I must give this a try. My son loves chicken sandwich.
