Do you have a little helper in the kitchen? My children all love to be in the kitchen. My oldest even likes to take cake decorating classes with my mom at one of our local stores. I love that they not only see me in the kitchen, but they also want to be a part of the activity and learn. With that in mind, I decided I would create something they could keep forever, a My First Recipe Book – Free Printables.

With this book full of free printables, they can also become a part of the activity in the kitchen. I wanted it to be a lot like the recipe books that I have.

My First Recipe Book – Free Printables

All you need is a little binder, and with school about to start, I picked mine up for only 89 cents! I grabbed one that has a clear cover and was able to add the Title page to the front.

Once you have your your cover done, it’s time to add your dedication page to the binder next.

Then it’s time to add all of the recipe cards. I love the way it looks!

I love owls, so when I created this project I had to include these fun little birds throughout the My First Recipe Book printables.

I also have a sweet little surprise for the little one to go along with the recipe book. Her very first apron for the kitchen. Of course, that has to be an owl as well! Here is a little sneak peek from the post I will be sharing later this week! (The My Little Owl Apron post is now up if you want to see it!)

DIY Owl Apron Sneek Peak from PinKWhen.com

Make sure to head back later this week so I can share with you my fun DIY Owl Apron to go along with the My First Recipe Book printables. This little Owl Apron is being worn in and out of the kitchen! It’s such a cute little apron, I may have to make an adult version next!

Do you let your little ones work in the kitchen with you? What are some of your favorite things to make together? If you have any fun recipes you like to share with them, feel free to leave a comment below and share them here as well.

I hope you enjoy these free printables! **Please note they are for your personal use only and not for sale or resale.** Make sure to click here to download the My First Recipe Book Cover, Dedication Page, and the Recipe Pages.

Oh that is adorable. I sort of what to make one for myself! What a lovely gift.
My kids have all helped bake since they were little, now they all all pretty good bakers. What I did find though was that we got to the point when they could all bake cakes but not make dinners, so now they each take a day in the week to cook, and we promise to eat whatever they make. Mostly it’s ok and I only have to cook 4 days a week!

Those are so cute! Abby loves to help in the kitchen but she is only 2. I may have to print them off for when she is older. 🙂

First of all, this is such a cute idea! My daughter is only 3 months but when she’s older this would be a great idea. While I was reading through I thought to myself, it would be perfect to have an apron to go along with it….and you delivered!

I’m not real computer savvy, but I cannot find anywhere that I can print this. I would love to start a book for my granddaughter
