Take the potatoes and place them in a colander. Rinse well.
Use a knife and cut the petite potatoes in half down the center.
Add the cut potatoes to a large bowl. Coat with olive oil and seasonings. Stir well to coat.
Add the seasoned potatoes to the basket of the prepared air fryer basket.
Cook the potatoes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
Open the air fryer and shake the basket. Continue to cook for an additional 6-10 minutes. (the time will depend on the size of the potatoes and how powerful your air fryer is.)
Remove the potato wedges from the air fryer and top them with fresh parsley before serving.
Note: I use the Cosori 5.8 quart air fryer. This recipe for Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes turns out perfectly every single time. If you have a different brand of air fryer, you may need to increase or decrease the time by a minute or two. All air fryers cook a little differently and it’s always best to test a small batch before making the entire thing.
FAQs
Can you season the potatoes with any other seasoning?
You bet. You can use Italian seasoning, cajun seasoning, mashed garlic cloves, fresh rosemary, parmesan cheese, and more. Have fun with the flavors each time you make it. You can also create different flavors with melted garlic butter, or even cajun butter.
Can this same cooking method be used with different cuts of potatoes?
Yes! French fries can easily be cut up this way as long as you cut the potatoes thinner and give them space to fry.
What goes well with cooked potatoes?
Since this is the perfect side dish, air fryer baby potatoes really can be paired up with any type of meat or even a nice side salad as well. And sometimes, I’ve even just eaten the potatoes and called it a meal all in its own right. Top with some sour cream and cheese and it’s amazing!
