Instant Pot Quinoa Grain Bowl

If you are like me, I am always looking for new things to make in my Instant Pot. This quinoa grain bowl is a perfect, healthy addition to my increasing list of favorite recipes. I love recipes that aren’t too time consuming and full of healthy goodness!

Why should I eat quinoa?

Did you know that we should be consuming at least 48 grams of protein daily? Protein helps build lean muscle and burn fat. Quinoa is one of my favorite ways to get the daily required amounts of protein because it is considered a complete protein. What does complete protein mean?

A complete protein means that your protein serving also includes the nine essential amino acids your body needs. Quinoa is also high is fiber, magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin e, and various beneficial antioxidants. I love my turkey, eggs, and chicken, but I love my quinoa, too.

How to Make Quinoa in the Instant Pot

Rinse and drain the quinoa to remove the bitter and sometimes mildly soapy taste that can linger if not rinsed.

Combine the quinoa, stock and seasonings in the Instant Pot together and then twist to lock the lid shut. Set the pot to Manual for 1 minute.

At the end of the cook time, let the pot to natural pressure release for 10 minutes before carefully releasing the remaining pressure.

Fluff the cooked quinoa with a fork. Now you have Instant Pot Quinoa!

Instant Pot Quinoa – it’s easy!

Instant Pot Quinoa Grain Bowl directions:

While the Instant Pot is heating, cooking and resting, prep, wash, slice and cook the rest of the vegetables to your preference.

I left the avocado, tomatoes and clementine raw.

Sautee the baby brussell sprouts and blanched the kale and broccoli to ensure they weren’t over cooked.

Spoon some of the quinoa into dishes and then lay in the vegetables and fruits, the best part of this dish is that you can add as much or as little of each as you enjoy!

Don’t these look just amazing! Have you made quinoa in your Instant Pot?
