I have a lot of dishes that are my favorite, but one of my ALL TIME favorite desserts something I am sharing with you today, a Key Lim Pie Recipe.

Key Lime Pie Recipe via PinkWhen.com

I enjoy making all kinds of desserts, but this has to be one of my favorites. It’s a simple and easy treat, and you can make this from preparation to serving in right at an hour.

Key Lime Pie from PinkWhen.com

What is it about Key Lim Pie that I love so much? It’s that scrumptious combination of a graham cracker crust along with the sweet and tangy ingredients and a whipped cream top. To me, it’s like having a party in my mouth! Are you ready for the party in yours?

Key Lime Pie

The first thing you want to do is gather up all of your ingredients:

  • 6 medium Limes (juiced to make 3/4 cup Lime juice)
  • 3 cups of condensed sweetened milk
  • 1 Tbsp Lime zest (only the dark green portion)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • graham cracker crust
  • whipped cream for topping

Heat your oven to 350.

Mix your lime juice, condensed milk, sour cream, and lime zest in a medium bowl until creamed together well.

Pour mixture into the graham cracker crust.

Bake for 6 – 8 minutes in the oven, making sure that you do not brown the top of the pie.

Pull your pie from the oven and allow to cool to room temp.

Place in the refrigerator and allow to completely cool.

When you are ready, add your whipped cream and top it with a little additional zest and serve.

This has to be one of my favorite pie recipes. Mostly because I love all of the flavors, and also because it is a really simple pie to make. Perfect for any holiday. or just because.

Okay…Key Lime Pie is my favorite dessert of any dessert in the world. Not just pie—I mean ANY DESSERT I COULD EAT. Despite this, I have never made it myself. I guess I just thought it would be way too hard like making cheesecake or something. But reading your recipe, I feel like it is doable.
I feel like you’ve given me a gift this morning. The gift of Key Lime Pie. I’m so excited!! I’m making this pronto!! Woot!! –Lisa
