Don’t you love to take a soothing bath? Sometimes I *might* be able to make this happen once per week. With all of the kids, after-school activities, household duties, and blogging….relaxation can seem like a dream that will never become reality. When this happens, I try and motivate myself with something pampering, like this Peppermint Sugar Bath Scrub. Nothing quite says “relaxation” than a scented, hot bath!

I have always loved to take scented baths. There is just something so fun about pampering yourself and allowing yourself the free time to relax. Not to mention, I love smelling beautiful after a long soak.

Peppermint Bath Scrub

I am always trying my best to relax and take a soothing bath. It could be the long hours or the fact I want to disappear and relax for a bit. This Peppermint bath scrub is one of the best ways I have found to relax.

Find more ways to use essential oils here!

Peppermint Bath Scrub

One of my favorite bath time scrubs is this peppermint sugar bath scrub. You will feel so soft and refreshed after you use this scrub. Not to mention, your skin will feel a thousand times better after removing all of that winter-coarse skin.

Peppermint Sugar Bath Scrub

To create this all natural scrub, you just need a few ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 4 tsp coconut oil (warmed 30 seconds to transfer to liquid form)
  • 1 tsp Vitamin E oil
  • a container of your choosing to hold your new scrubs
  • I used 8 drops of peppermint essential oil (dependent on your Essential Oils)

Mix all of the ingredients together and stir well. Once you have everything mixed well, transfer over into the storage containers of your choice.

I even created a few labels so I could dress mine up a bit. Not only that, but I plan on giving a few of these out this year for fun Mother’s Day gifts. Every mom deserves a little down time as well as a little pamper time! (update: click here to be taken to a tutorial on how I created these labels)

If you are looking for an inexpensive Mother’s Day Gift, or even a treat for yourself, this is the perfect, thoughtful gift to give.

Can I just buy some from you??
I love using coconut oil. I’ve started using it as a moisturizer. I smell fantastic. And it works!
This is beautiful. We don’t have a big bathtub and one of our dreams is to have one of those huge jacuzzi type ones.

How did you create the label?

Hi Honda, I created the label with a Silhouette vinyl cutting machine. You could probably do the same thing with sticker paper, a home printer, and a pair of scissors if you don’t have a machine like this. I am going to do a tutorial this coming week to show how to make the labels.

I’m new to the Silhouette. Bought one last Spring, but seldom have time to use it. What supplies/kits would I need to make those labels? Thank you!

Hi Milca, congrats on having the Silhouette! For this tutorial you would use a home printer to print on the clear sticker paper (with registration marks) and then place your printed paper on the cutting mat. Have the machine detect the registration marks, and then print. I have been asked quite a few times, I will probably put up a tutorial this week for this and it will explain it fully 🙂

I love this idea! So simple and such a nice handmade gift. Your labels are great too. They remind me of labels from Philosophy. Thanks for sharing. Pinning to my gift idea board. 🙂

What a great idea! I could use a long soak and it would be even better with this peppermint scrub! When we did our addition 13 years ago, we put in a jacuzzi bath. Sadly, I could count on one hand the number of times I have taken a bath in that time. It really is relaxing though…I need to take the time to do that…it’s a great de-stressor.

Thanks Michelle! I am the same way…but I try and force myself to take time for myself and relax. It’s so easy NOT to…but the effort to pamper myself always makes me feel better in the end 🙂

Where do you find the definition for the words i.e. bath scrub? I looked for a dictionary online and couldn’t find one? Your idea is awesome!
