How to Make Bacon Wrapped Shrimp in the Air Fryer
Peel the shrimp and leave the tails on if desired.
Once peeled, lay the shrimp out on a baking sheet and then sprinkle evenly with a light coat of the Old Bay seasoning.
Prepare the air fryer basket with a light coat of olive oil or nonstick cooking spray.
Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon. Lay the bacon-wrapped shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, keeping the ends of the bacon under the shrimp.
Cook at 390 degrees F for 9-10 minutes, no flipping required.
Carefully remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Can you cut down the fat content in this shrimp and bacon recipe?
The main way that you can cut out some of the fat content is to change the type of bacon that you use. You can use lower-fat bacon as well as switching it out for turkey bacon, too.
Just keep in mind that turkey bacon doesn’t cook up as crisp as regular bacon so that is something to keep in mind.
What happens if I overstuff the air fryer?
The biggest thing that will happen is that you won’t get an even cook on all the added pieces of shrimp. This means that you’ll have some that are crispy and some that aren’t. Just layer them in an even layer and give them a bit of space and they should cook up just fine.
