I’ve been a fan of shrimp basically forever. And once I realized that I can combine it with bacon, I knew that I’d never turn my back on it ever again. The good news is that when you can cook shrimp in the air fryer, it’s literally cooked to perfection each and every time.

Since I have a major love of food, I find myself wanting this easy appetizer all the time. It’s one of my favorite recipes to cook up large shrimp. You can enjoy this as a main dish as well.

This easy keto bacon recipe is the best way to air-fry shrimp. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you might be able to fit several extra-jumbo shrimp that you just wrap bacon around! Anytime I can make up this easy bacon recipe, I’m 100% down to make it happen!

Even if you’re not a fan of bacon I think that you’ll enjoy this simple recipe for Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. There’s just something about the outer layer of bacon that produces a delicious crisp and crunch.

I also have to admit that I love cooking in the air fryer because clean-up is a total breeze, too! This recipe takes minutes to make – and minutes to clean up!

This is one of the best 4th of July appetizers or makes for a really great option for brunch recipes, breakfast, or simple and easy lunch recipes as well. I tend to also crave this for dinner recipes too because it’s just that good!

Just a few simple directions are all it takes to make this easy recipe! Just make certain that you have the right number of shrimp for a slice of bacon for each one! You don’t want to run out of bacon strips or take that chance!

How to Make Bacon Wrapped Shrimp in the Air Fryer

Peel the shrimp and leave the tails on if desired. 

Once peeled, lay the shrimp out on a baking sheet and then sprinkle evenly with a light coat of the Old Bay seasoning. 

Prepare the air fryer basket with a light coat of olive oil or nonstick cooking spray. 

Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon. Lay the bacon-wrapped shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, keeping the ends of the bacon under the shrimp. 

Cook at 390 degrees F for 9-10 minutes, no flipping required. 

Carefully remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

FAQs

Can you cut down the fat content in this shrimp and bacon recipe?

The main way that you can cut out some of the fat content is to change the type of bacon that you use. You can use lower-fat bacon as well as switching it out for turkey bacon, too.

Just keep in mind that turkey bacon doesn’t cook up as crisp as regular bacon so that is something to keep in mind.

What happens if I overstuff the air fryer?

The biggest thing that will happen is that you won’t get an even cook on all the added pieces of shrimp. This means that you’ll have some that are crispy and some that aren’t. Just layer them in an even layer and give them a bit of space and they should cook up just fine.

  1. I made it with some changes: Along with Ol Bay bay I added lemon pepper. Tasted great. It was while I was eating it that I decided to roll a piece in parmesan cheese. Oooh Myyy Gooodeness! Game on!
