When it comes to cooking up salmon, this might be my favorite air fryer recipe to use. It’s because it has the best results time and time again. Even the kids love this easy healthy meal!

Ingredients Needed:
- canned salmon
- eggs
- mayo
- red bell pepper, diced small
- bread crumbs
- garlic powder
- ground black pepper
- salt
- fresh chopped parsley

How to Make Salmon Patties in the Air Fryer
Heat the air fryer to 390 degrees F. Prepare the basket of the air fryer with a nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper.
Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix well.
Measure out the salmon mixture to create the patties with 1/2 cup measuring cup.
Form the patties to be no larger than 1″ thickness.
Add the salmon patties in a single layer to the prepared air fryer basket. Spray the tops of the patties with olive oil. Cook for 8 minutes.
Flip the patties over, spray the top of the patties, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Serve with tartar sauce and your favorite sides.
TIP: Looking to make this dish Keto friendly? Consider substituting the breadcrumbs with pork rinds or almond flour.

If using canned salmon, do I need to remove the bones?
Yes, if you are making salmon patties from canned salmon I recommend placing the salmon on a cutting board and removing any remaining bones.
Can I use fresh salmon to make these salmon cakes?
Yes! If using fresh salmon, add the salmon fillets to a food processor and pulse or chop until you have small pieces of flaky salmon meat. Then add the remaining ingredients to make the salmon mixture for the salmon cakes.
How do you store leftovers?
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days. If you only cover with plastic wrap, the scent of the salmon will be in your entire fridge – just an FYI.
What is the best way to reheat this recipe?
Reheat the patties in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 4-5 minutes or until heated through to keep the perfect crispy coating.
Is there an easy way to meal prep with this recipe?
Prepare the patties up to 48 hours in advance, and store them in the refrigerator until ready to cook.

- 2 eggs

- 1/2 bell pepper red
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt

I am soooo gonna make these!!
Just a warning: PLEASE don’t use cooking spray in your AF, it will totally RUIN your no-stick coating! This goes for other objects too.

Definitely don’t use PAM or anything with the ingredients soy lecithin as it can remove the nonstick surface. You can use nonstick sprays such as olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, etc.

I have made these and didn’t care for the red pepper so I sauted grated carrot and added. So easy and amazing in air fryer.
