This year I have started to change the way I clean in my house. I am removing harsh chemicals and replacing them with all natural products that do the same job, or even better! Not to mention, I know EXACTLY what I am cleaning with. At first I wasn’t even sure I could do it, but after using chemical free products for over three months now, I LOVE it. Chemical free cleaning can be done!

Chemical Free Cleaning

Over the years I have always “thought” I would like the notion of chemical free cleaning, but I worked outside of the home and when it was time to clean, I did what was quick and easy. I ran to the store and grabbed a ton of cleaning supplies and had them filling up shelf space. It was what worked with the amount of time I had on my hands, but then one day I became a stay-at-home-mom.

Why chemical free cleaning?

Being a stay-at-home-mom sounds really glamorous, right? It’s not. It’s one of the most important, and most demanding jobs in the world. Besides, who cares about glamour when you are paid in hugs? I would not change it for anything in the world. One thing I did with all of the extra time was clean a ton more. As I would do my weekly shopping, I would add in my cleaning supplies. $5 for dusting spray, $10 for scented plug in refills, $4 for glass cleaner, and on and on and on. It doesn’t sound like much, but it starts to add up. Add in the multi purpose cleaners, and you have a ton of cleaning supplies and a nice-sized receipt to go with it.

Chemical Free Cleaning

One day I came across a friends post on these oils. While I knew they were all natural, I wasn’t quite sure what I could use them for. Not to mention, I have a TON of allergies, and scents that are too strong will give me a migraine headache. No thank you! However, I started reading online the benefits of oils and decided to bit the bullet and give them a try. If I didn’t like them, I would give them to a friend who did. Once I started using them and using my pocket reference book, I began to try different things!

I decided to see if I could be be chemical free with the help of essential oils. How can that be possible you might ask? Essential oils are all natural and strong plant derived products. There are many different ways people use these oils besides cleaning, but it has been one of my main focal points in my journey learning as much as possible about essential oils.

Chemical Free Cleaning Ideas

What sort of cleaners can you make with essential oils? I’ve made a glass cleaner, a dusting spray, I have a new microwave cleaner, AND I made my own hand sanitizers as well. You can also make laundry detergent, and I just recently started using Thieves cleaner as my new all purpose cleaner for the house. I love that it is so versatile. I diffuse different oils during the day, and my house always smells so amazing. No more need for plugins!

There are many different things you can make with essential oils. I have just started to crack some of the ways I can use them with my family.

It’s wonderful. I stumbled upon YL somehow.. maybe on Amazon, to be honest! Then I found a friend who sells them and I started researching and the rest is history.
