DIY Rustic Christmas Gift Idea

Over the last several years my tastes have started to change. I have always loved the rustic look, but I never really incorporated that design into my house, or into my Christmas. This year I am planning on making that change, and it’s also going to run over to my gifting ideas as well. To that point, today I am going to share with you this DIY Rustic Mason Jar Christmas Gift Idea.  I personally think it would be perfect for a mantle or coffee table in any home this Christmas.

Mason Jar Christmas Gift

To get started with this craft, you will need a few supplies:

• FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam Ball – 3″
• Mason Jar
• White spray paint
• Burlap Poinsettia
• Twine and Gift Tag

DIY Rustic Christmas Gift Idea

Step 1:  Remove the lid from the Mason Jar and turn opening down. Spray the white paint over the glass until fully covered. Remember to keep about 15″ away from the glass and paint in sweeping motions so you don’t encounter and runs in the paint.

Step 2: After the paint has dried, insert the FloraCraft®Make It: Fun® 3″ Foam Ball into the Mason jar and tie the twine around the lip of the jar.

Step 3: Insert the Burlap Poinsettia into the foam ball and arrange as desired.

Step 4:  Take a little sandpaper and rub lightly around the lettering on the Mason Jar to antique it a bit.

All done! This is really a quick and easy DIY craft, and the longest piece is to let the white paint dry on the jar. After that, it’s only a few minutes until completion.
