Are you a fan of creamy and tasty “treats” that taste just like a dessert? If so, this Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie is calling your name. Not only does that peanut butter add such a fun and delicious flavor but the added banana kicks up the health benefits as well!

Who says that a peanut butter smoothie can’t be your special treat, each and every day? And if you love this smoothie recipe, make certain to check out our Mango Pineapple Smoothie as well!

People tend to think that smoothies are a way to “trick” your body into eating something halfway healthy…but seriously, there’s no tricking at all happening with this simple smoothie recipe. This peanut butter smoothie really does taste almost like homemade ice cream…(and who’s going to say “no” to that?!)

The best part about this peanut butter smoothie recipe is that you can have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The choice is totally up to you! I’ve even had this after the kids go to bed because I selfishly didn’t want to share! (don’t judge!)

PEANUT BUTTER BANANA SMOOTHIE

I’ve actually left out one of the biggest positives of this simple peanut butter smoothie recipe…You only need 6 ingredients to make it up! The fewer ingredients, the better, right?

With the warmer weather right around the corner, you can easily make this be a nice cool treat to enjoy to beat the summer heat. Or use this as a way to tempt the kids to get out of bed in the morning so that they aren’t just waking up barely in time for lunch. (to be a kid again…!)

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED TO MAKE THIS PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE?

As I mentioned earlier, you just need 6 ingredients to create this awesome treat. I love creating what I call a “handful of ingredients only” recipe!

  •  Peanut butter
  • Chocolate protein powder
  • Banana
  • Milk
  • Fresh local honey
  • Ice (depending on the consistency you want)

The great part about making a smoothie at home is that you can add or change up anything that you want. Just make certain to factor in the added ingredients that you’re adding so that you can stay on track with your healthy eating habits.
