Being able to make easy recipes in my Air Fryer has been a game-changer. It’s a simple way to cook up literal perfection every time. I also love that the air fryer takes over and does all the hard work for me and leaves very minimal mess as well.

Because when I can cook dessert without stress, I’m 100% down to make it happen. The best part about this easy dessert recipe is that it tastes like a homemade cherry pie. One bite and I’m transported back to my childhood, sitting at my grandma’s table.

Very few food recipes take me on a trip down memory lane but this one does and it makes my heart and tummy very happy.

If you’re ready for that sweet cherry flavor, it’s the perfect time to make it happen! Not only that, but who can say no to a sweet cinnamon sugar topping?

Easy Air Fryer Dessert

The best part about being able to cook desserts in the air fryer is that I’m never surprised by the results. They’re always cooked perfectly because it’s a steady and constant airflow and temperature. It’s a sweet treat that’s quick and easy that everyone enjoys, and the air fryer is one of my favorite ways to make life easy.

The outside of this cherry dessert has a nice crunch to it while the inside is soft and sweet. And just to be on the safe side, I’ve made this recipe a few dozen times to be certain it’s not a fluke. 😉

How to Make Cherry Pie Bombs in the Air Fryer

The steps aren’t hard to do and these pictures will show you the exact process so it erases any doubt!

How To Make Mini Cherry Pies

  1. Put the cinnamon and sugar into a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Open the can of biscuits and peel each biscuit into two layers. Using a rolling pin roll each layer into a 4-inch circle, you will end up with 16 circles.
  3. Spoon about a half-spoonful of cherry pie filling into the center of each circle.
  4. Pull the sides of the dough pieces together and pinch to seal, then roll the biscuit dough into balls.
  5. Prepare your basket with parchment paper or spray your air fryer basket with a non-stick cooking spray or olive oil.
  6. Place the balls into the air fryer basket in a single layer about 2 inches apart. You may need to make a couple of batches.
  7. Spray the top of the balls with your cooking spray.
  8. Air fry at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes, until they are golden brown.
  9. Carefully remove the Air Fryer Cherry Pie Bombs from the air fryer, roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve.

FAQs

Can you add toppings to these easy pie bombs?

Of course, toppings are always an option! They’re tiny but there is always room to add toppings. You can put a bit of whipped cream on top with some chocolate chips or even sprinkle on a bit of powdered sugar if you want. You can also serve these with vanilla ice cream. So yummy!

How do you store leftover cherry pie bombs?

The biggest thing that you need to keep in mind is that you need to keep them stored in an airtight container. This will keep them as fresh and possible.

I used pie crust instead of the biscuit one. Using the biscuit dough taste like a biscuit with cherry jam. So I made the next batch with pie crust dough. It was much better.
