Just when you thought that you’ve made it all, along comes this simple recipe for Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs. They’re a fast and easy treat that is loaded down with flavor. They literally just take four ingredients to make as well!

Being able to cook up sweet treats like these mini apple pies in the air fryer saves so much time! Be certain to check out my 2 Ingredient Apple Hand Pies for another crazy easy dessert recipe as well!

Not only is this recipe fast and easy to make, but it’s easy enough that the kids can make it up as well. This means that when they’re craving independence and wanting to bake, all they have to do is do a few simple steps and they’ve got it! (plus I love getting to nibble on food items that they’ve created as well!)

And did I mention that these treats take less than 10 minutes to cook? So long to the days for waiting HOURS to enjoy desserts. Because when our sweet tooths are talking, it’s important to give them something delicious and FAST.

Apple Pie Bombs in the Air Fryer

The outside of these easy apple treats has a nice crunch to it while the middle is perfectly soft and sweet. My mouth is literally drooling thinking about how wonderful they really are.

The best part about these apple pie treats is that you can eat them just like they are or add on a dollop of whipped cream to give it that extra kick.

Ingredients

  • Apple pie filling
  • Grands biscuits
  • Cinnamon
  • Granulated White Sugar
Ingredients needed to make apple pie bombs in the air fryer.

Creating and making these Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs isn’t hard to do at all but I love sharing the photos with you anyway!

Instructions

Put the cinnamon and sugar into a bowl. Set aside.

Open the can of biscuits and peel each biscuit into two layers. Using a rolling pin roll each layer into a 4-inch circle, you will end up with 16 circles.

Spoon about a tablespoon of the apple pie filling into the center of each circle.

Pull the sides together and pinch to seal, then roll them into balls.

Prepare your basket or spray your air fryer basket with a non-stick cooking spray.

Place the balls into the air fryer basket about 2 inches apart, you may need to make a couple of batches.

Spray the top of the balls with your cooking spray.

Apple Pie Bombs placed on top of parchment paper in the air fryer basket, ready to cook.

Air fry at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes, until they are golden brown. Add an additional minute or two if they aren’t cooked fully through.

Carefully remove the Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs from the air fryer, roll in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and serve.

AIR FRYER APPLE PIE BOMB FAQS

Can you use fresh apples for this recipe?

You can! If you want to use fresh apples, just wash them, peel them, and cut them up. You can then mix with a bit of cinnamon and sugar and add them to the middle of the biscuit.

Just know that they’re more than likely going to be crunchier but still have great flavor!

How do you reheat these sweet apple pie treats?

While they’re best eaten fresh, you can just pop them in the microwave for a few moments of time to reheat them later on. Fast and simple! (just be careful because the middle is going to be hotter than the outside when you reheat!)
