Everyone needs a solid recipe that makes a great appetizer or a quick snack. This is why this simple pretzel recipe is always on my radar.
I love the spectacular little bites of pretzel dough that can be topped with melted butter and salt or a sweet cinnamon sugar mixture, too. They really are the perfect party snacks.
All my family members agree that making homemade pretzels are so much better than any frozen pretzel that you can buy at the store. These homemade soft pretzels are great for a sweet game day treat or a delicious snack any day of the week. (and sometimes, I make them up and just enjoy them on my own!)

Ingredients
- all purpose flour
- active dry yeast
- hot water
- cinnamon
- granulated white sugar
- salt
- unsalted butter
- brown sugar
- confectioners sugar
- vanilla
- whole milk
As you can see, this recipe for air fryer pretzels is fast and easy to do!
How to Make Pretzel Bites in the Air Fryer
Combine the flour, salt, cinnamon, and sugar into a large bowl and set aside.
Add the yeast to the hot water and let it dissolve.
Add the water with yeast to the flour mixture and knead with your hands until fully combined.
Cover the bowl of dough with a dry cloth and allow to sit covered for 30-45 minutes.
Punch down the dough and then set it aside.
Dust your work surface with flour and knead the dough lightly.
Break the dough into 8 equal pieces. Form a 1″ thick rope with each piece. Cut the rope into 1-1 ½” pieces.
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare the air fryer basket with a nonstick cooking spray or olive oil.
Place the pretzels in the prepared air fryer basket in a single layer, careful to leave a little room in between each one. Cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-7 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Remove the pretzel bites from the air fryer and brush the tops with melted butter.
Mix the cinnamon, sugar, and brown sugar together and dip the pretzels in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.
Serve the glaze as a dipping sauce.
How to Make the Glaze Dipping Sauce
Add the powdered confectioner’s sugar, whole milk, vanilla, and melted butter to a medium bowl. Use a whisk and mix well and serve. (You may need to add a little milk depending on your preferred consistency.
