Don’t get me wrong, I love to use my grill and burgers are one of my favorite grilled recipes. Sometimes you don’t have a choice when the grill isn’t an option. Cooking burgers in the oven is the perfect solution for when the weather outside isn’t cooperating for grilling.

That’s right. Baked hamburgers. I first came upon this recipe from the Food Network and have made only a few adjustments.
You can totally bake hamburgers in the oven and they are actually quick and easy. In fact, this recipe is so simple and hands off it may become one of your new favorite ways to make burgers for a crowd.

How to Bake Hamburgers
You need to have a few ingredients on hand to make these tasty oven baked burgers.
- ground beef
- Worcestershire sauce
- ground black pepper
- garlic salt or powder
- red pepper flakes
- burger toppings such as cheese slices, onions, lettuce, tomatoes
- hamburger buns or Sourdough rolls
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a cooling rack on top of a rimmed baking sheet covered with aluminum foil.
Add the ground beef into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add the Black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce to the meat. Mix until combined well.
Shape the ground beef mixture into quarter-pound patties and place them onto the baking sheet.

Place the cookie sheet onto the baking rack in the middle of oven.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the internal temperature has reached 155 degrees Fahrenheit with a meat thermometer. Remove from oven and cover them with aluminum foil for 5 minutes to continue cooking.

Add the cooked hamburger patties to a bun or roll and add your favorite toppings before serving. A delicious and simple recipe.

Can I Make these into Turkey Burgers?
Yes! You can substitute the lean ground meat with lean ground turkey and cook these burgers at the same time and temperature.
Can I Make the Burgers Spicy?
You definitely can! When making the hamburger patties, add 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, 1 tsp of white pepper, and 3 Tbsp of Tabasco sauce. That will spice things up a bit! Season with salt if desired.

I don’t know why I never thought about baking burgers. I prefer gome made over frozen patties any day. They were juicy and delicious. I added some cheese to the center of some, then baked, and they were delish.
