If you haven’t made hot dogs in the Air Fryer you are totally missing out! No more boiling water, heating up the grill or throwing them in the microwave only to have them explode. Air Fryer Hot Dogs take just a few minutes and you will love the juicy hot dog that’s made with ease.
It’s no secret that I think the air fryer make some of the best recipes.
The first time I made hot dogs in the Air Fryer I was honestly a little excited. Now you’re probably wondering, how does one get excited about making hotdogs? Bear with me.
When I made Air Fryer Corn Dogs, I was BLOWN away. They were so delicious and so easy, it was like grabbing a fried corndog at the state fair, but instead grabbing it from the Air Fryer. Then, I upped my game and started making Air Fryer Burgers. It was another game changer!
Since those corndogs and hamburgers turned out so well, I knew I had to try hot dogs next. I’ll seriously never make a hot dog any other way again. It takes less time to make hot dogs in an Air Fryer than it does on the grill or stovetop.
The best thing is there is very little mess.

FAQs and Subsitutions:

The options are almost limitless and depend on when and why you’re serving them, but some of my favorite items to serve with hot dogs include pasta salad, tater tots, french fries, sweet potato fries, pasta salads, and more.
What toppings can I add to my hot dogs?
I love the basic ketchup and mustard on the top of each hot dog, but you can also add cheese, mayo, chili, relish, barbecue sauce, sour cream, onions, and more.
Do you air fry the hot dog buns?
You can! The hot air ensures you have crispy buns. If you are looking to have a light, crispy hot dog, consider adding the bun during the last minute of cooking.

WHAT AIR FRYER SHOULD I USE?
JOIN OUR NEW AIR FRYER FACEBOOK GROUP!
We love our Air Fryers and actually have two of them! If you’re in the market for an Air Fryer I love to use both the Ninja Foodie Pro and the Cosori 5.8Q.
The Ninja Foodi is a grill and has several different options. It’s also called an air crisper, and you can learn more about that here. I like this for larger projects. You can open the top and check on what’s cooking, and you can also use the temperature probe and never undercook or overcook anything again.
The Cosori has a basket, is an actual air fryer, and makes it easy to shake things around while cooking. The handle on the basket makes removing the basket easier, and it’s very easy to clean. Each works very well and I use them both with this big family of mine. I can have them both working and have dinner done FAST.
They both really do work great and I love to use them on an almost daily basis. One last thing I would recommend with whichever air fryer you choose, make sure to get some basket liners. They are amazing and help make cleanup a breeze!
