As a mom, I have all these grand notions that I’m going to wake up super early and make homemade donuts from scratch before everyone else wakes up in the morning…and then life happens and I’m up till 2 in the morning Googling about cows or something else random and before I know it, I’ve missed my alarm clock and I’ve started another day without homemade donuts.

But guess what? That was before this simple cake mix donut recipe. Now all I need are just a few moments of time to have delicious warm donuts ready and waiting for my crew.

Turn on the Babycakes appliance.

Mix the cake mix per instructions on the box of mix.

Pour mixture into a ziplock bag and seal.

Once the Babycakes appliance is heated, snip a corner of the ziplock bag and carefully fill each donut cavity. Close the lid and allow to bake for 5 minutes.

Remove donut cakes and set aside. Should make about 36 mini donuts.

Heat the strawberry cream cheese frosting and carefully dip the tops of the donuts. Add sprinkles and serve.

We store leftover donuts in the refrigerator and heat them in the microwave for a few seconds when we are ready for a quick snack!

How can I make Cake Mix Donuts without the Babycakes appliance?

If you don’t have a Babycakes donut appliance you can also grab a donut pan and bake these in the oven.
