Air Fryer Salmon topped with fresh parsley and ready to eat.

I love my air fryer and this salmon makes me love it even more. This quick and easy recipe is a family favorite and one that always helps me quickly hit my protein goals.

Another light dish is these Air Fryer Pork Chops without breading. Low card and simple!

I don’t do anything special because of the simple ingredients with this salmon recipe, but I will share some of my favorite seasonings and toppings below and in the recipe card.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Salmon – I love fresh Atlantic salmon over frozen if possible
  • olive oil – for the fish
  • sea salt
  • ground black pepper
  • smoked paprika
Salmon in the air fryer basket with the seasonings on the side ready to apply.

I use two 8 ounce salmon fillets when making this dish and then cut each into two pieces, so each serving is 4 ounces per person.

How to Make Salmon in the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare the air fryer basket with nonstick spray or parchment paper if desired.
  2. Rinse, clean, and then pat the filets with a paper towel until they are dry.
  3. Rub the salmon with a little olive oil, then use the salmon rub of seasonings on the salmon filets until they are completely covered.
  4. Place the salmon filets into the preheated air fryer basket with a cook time of 10-12 minutes. Use a digital meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the salmon has reached 145 degrees Fahrenheit. If not, add more cooking time.
  5. Carefully remove the salmon filets from the air fryer basket, squeeze with fresh lemon juice, and serve with your favorite sides. (It’s normal for the salmon skin to easily remove from the bottom of the fish once cooked.)

Note: I made with Air Fryer Salmon recipe in my Cosori 5.8 quart air fryer. If this is your first time using an air fryer and your air fryer is manufactured by a different brand, you may need to adjust the cook time. Always use a digital meat thermometer to ensure your salmon is fully cooked before serving.

The whole family loves this easy salmon dish.

FAQs

What are other toppings I can add to these Air Fryer Salmon fillets?

I love to use simple ingredients when making salmon but you can spice things up a bit by adding in garlic powder, brush with soy sauce, or even sprinkle with butter and brown sugar. I also love to top this juicy salmon with my favorite avocado salsa.

How to store leftover salmon?

Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you’re meal prepping, consider serving with brown rice or cauliflower rice for a low carb recipe. You can also make salmon tacos with low carb tortillas.

Salmon cut into smaller fillets and served on a serving platter ready to eat.

You’ll love how this tender salmon tastes and that you can make this dish with just a few basic ingredients.
