Air Fryer Baked Sweet Potatoes are my new favorite way to make sweet potatoes. You’ll get deliciously crispy skin and perfect fluffy potato on the inside. Only 3 ingredients for the best sweet potatoes you’ll ever taste.
I love air frying. It’s my go-to healthy option to choose when I craving “fried” food.
I love using my air fryer for side dishes and these air fryer sweet potatoes are some of my favorites. Not only are they delicious, but they are also cooked in less time than you would normally use to bake them in the oven. The sweet potato skin is crispy and the potato is fully cooked in just 40 minutes versus an hour in the oven.
This is also perfect to go with main dishes such as Air Fryer Chicken Fried Steak.
According to Healthline, sweet potatoes are a great source of fiber, minerals, vitamins, and may enhance brain function and support your immune system.
This air fryer baked sweet potato recipe is the perfect side dish and one of my family’s favorites. You only need to have a few things on hand for this recipe and they are so easy to make.
Sweet potatoes are so versatile, you can make them sweet with a sprinkle of brown sugar, or a drizzle of maple syrup. Or you can make them with a spicy flavor by adding a pinch of chili powder, or top with sour cream, chives, or salsa.

Carefully remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and serve with your favorite toppings or sauces.
NOTE: All air fryers cook differently. These sweet potatoes were made using the Cosori 5.8qt air fryer. You may have to add or takeaway a couple of minutes depending on the brand of air fryer you own.
This is a great way to make fluffy sweet potatoes and they’re done faster than using the oven. It’s one of my favorite easy air fryer recipes.
How do I store leftover sweet potatoes?
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Do not add any toppings to the sweet potatoes if you’re planning to store them.
How do I reheat sweet potatoes?
One of the easiest ways to reheat baked sweet potatoes is by reheating them in the air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then add the leftover sweet potatoes to the air fryer. Cook the sweet potatoes for 2-3 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are heated completely through.
What are toppings I can use on my air fryer baked sweet potatoes?
Just like a baked potato, the sky is the limit when it comes to toppings.
I love making sweet potatoes in the air fryer. It’s an easy side dish and I have found it to really be the best way to make them. If you haven’t made this sweet potatoes recipe yet, you need to put it on your to do list soon.
