These Dr. Pepper Brownies are about to give your taste buds a true treat. Not only are they super moist and delicious, but they’re literally made using a simple can of Dr. Pepper from your fridge. Crazy to think about, right? But trust me on this one…they’re honestly one of the best brownies that you’re going to try, ever!

When I say that we’re pretty much obsessed with this Dr. Pepper Brownies from scratch, I’m really not overreacting at all. And since I’m a Dr. Pepper fan, these homemade brownies are literally the icing on the cake.

Speaking of cake, this brownie is as thick and dense as cake, and that makes these babies even more irresistible! If you enjoy these, you might also love our homemade Lunch Lady Brownies or our Brownie Mix Cookies.

DR. PEPPER BROWNIES

One of the major reasons that I love this recipe is that it has less than 10 ingredients for me to have on hand. (because let’s face it, the more things I’m going to need, the likelihood is that I’m not going to have one of them!)

I’ve whipped these brownies up in no time at all and had them ready when the kids got home from school. Not only did it score me cool points with them but then I also got to enjoy a brownie as well! (double bonus, right?!)

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO I NEED TO MAKE THESE DR. PEPPER BROWNIES?

This recipe uses a handful of ingredients and it all comes together so quickly. They are delicious, fluffy, brownies that you’re whole family is going to LOVE! Here is what you will need to have on hand:

  • Salted butter – Salted is important so keep that in mind.
  • Semi sweet chocolate chips
  • Brown sugar
  • White granulated sugar
  • Large eggs
  • Dr Pepper – The star of the show!
  • Cocoa powder – Gives them that darker coloring and chocolate flavor, too.
  • All purpose flour
Ingredients needed to make Dr. Pepper brownies.

HOW TO MAKE DR. PEPPER BROWNIES

The prepping or this recipe literally takes just a few moments of time. You’ll have the brownie mix on the oven before you even know what happened.

Dr. Pepper Brownies Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir well.

  3. Combine sugars and eggs and Dr. Pepper. Mix well.

  4. In a medium bowl, add cocoa powder and flour.

  5. Mix in the sugar mixture and melted chocolate.

  6. Pour mixture into a prepared 9 x 13 baking dish or a cast-iron skillet.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out clean from the middle.

  8. Remove from oven and allow them to cool before slicing.

Once the brownies are done cooling, it’s time to enjoy! (Make certain you decide beforehand who gets one of the end pieces – families fight over those glorious ends!)

DR. PEPPER BROWNIE MODIFICATIONS

If you’re looking for a few ways to make this recipe different, I’ve got some great ideas!

Add in a different flavor of chocolate chips like white chocolate or even butterscotch to see what you think of the difference.

It’s always a good idea to have some whipped cream or powdered sugar on hand as well to add to the top for a fun texture and taste.

You can even top them with a fun vanilla frosting for even more flavor!
