You won't believe how easy these are to make, and cooked in just minutes.

These Instant Pot Black Beans are not only super simple to make, but they also have a great flavor as well. And the best part? No more waiting hours for your beans to be cooked! Using the Instant Pot makes bean cooking a total breeze!

Instant Pot Black Beans

We eat beans quite a bit in our family because they’re a simple recipe that packs a lot of great nutrients. (plus, they’re affordable and tasty, too!) While you can easily make up beans to add to awesome dishes like tacos or burritos, you can also just cook them up to have as a simple side dish as well.

I also don’t think that you have to wait for Taco Tuesday to make up these bad boys. They’re tasty at any time of the day and are a great source of protein.

INSTANT POT BLACK BEANS

This bean recipe literally has only 7 ingredients (yippee!) and three simple steps to make them happen. Who doesn’t have time for that?! (Can I just let you know that I have no idea how I cooked anything before we bought out Instant Pot? It’s literally my best friend in the kitchen!)

Anytime I can let my Instant Pot take over and do all the hard work for me, I’ll happily take off my chef hat and step aside.

Instant Pot Black Beans Recipe

Add water to your Instant Pot.

Add in the remaining ingredients and stir.

Set timer for 25 minutes allowing it to naturally depressurize.

Once the timer goes off and it depressurizes, enjoy! These beans are going to be cooked perfectly every single time.

INSTANT POT BLACK BEANS MODIFICATIONS

Since this recipe is so simple, there aren’t a ton of modifications to do but some of them could be to add fun toppings to the top of your beans once they’re cooked to add some neat flavors and tastes.

Toppings like sour cream, chives, and cilantro can give this dish a whole other flavor!

You can also use a chicken or a vegetable stock in place of the water to try to add in a little more flavor as well.
