Not only is this Skinny Chocolate Banana Bread delicious and moist, but it is also gluten free and made with quinoa flour and antioxidant rich cacao powder. To say this skinny chocolate banana bread is amazing is an understatement. It’s CRAZY amazing, and one of the most delicious banana bread recipes I have ever had.
Banana bread has always been one of my favorite desserts, but these days I am noshing on some healthier versions like this Skinny Chocolate Banana Bread.
Skinny Chocolate Banana Bread
It’s made with delicious ripe bananas, honey, coconut oil, greek yogurt, quinoa flour, and antioxidant rich organic cacao powder.
To say this bread is moist is an understatement. It’s about as far from dry as you can get.
Check out how easy it is to make this skinny dessert:
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 5 ounces plain greek yogurt
- 1 1/3 cup quinoa flour
- 2 Tbsp raw organic cacao powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg
Heat oven to 350. In a medium bowl mash the ripe bananas. Add the honey, vanilla, coconut oil, yogurt, flour, cacao powder, salt, baking soda, and egg. Mix until all ingredients are mixed well, but try not to “over mix” as that can affect the outcome of your bread.
Pour the mixture into a bread pan.
Place the skinny chocolate banana bread in the oven and bake on 350 for 60-70 minutes.
Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack for 10 minutes before removing from the baking dish.
When you try this bread for the first time you will notice it’s a little different texture since it doesn’t use flour. It’s more dense. And it is super moist.
I totally love this banana bread, and I love the fact that it’s a healthier version than your normal banana bread.
