Homemade Guacamole Recipe

One of my favorite things to eat:  Chips and Dip. I almost eat any kind of chip and dip recipe. One of my all time favorites:  Homemade Guacamole. I can never get enough of it! I can seriously sit down with an entire bowl and eat it ALL. I just keep telling myself how good it is for me, ha! With that being said, it really is one of my all time favorites, so I am going to share with you my Homemade Guacamole Recipe.

Homemade Guacamole Recipe

You really do not need too many things to for this recipe, see below.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Avocados
  • 1 Roma Tomato
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Chopped cilantro
  • 1 large lime (juiced)
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Serves 4

Homemade Guacamole Ingredients

Step 1:  Slice and remove all of the “meat” from the Avocado. Place into a small bowl.

Step 2: Chop up 1 whole Roma Tomato and place into the bowl.

Step 3: Chop finely the cilantro, and place it into the bowl with the avocado and tomato.

Step 4: Add the 1/4 cup chopped red onion to the bowl.

Step 5:  Add in the 1/2 tsp pepper and 1 juice of 1 large lime.

Homemade Guacamole Recipe, perfect for Cinco De Mayo!

Mix well, and serve! That really is all there is to it. I love all of these flavors mixed together, and it really does give you a nice flavor explosion in your mouth. Who doesn’t like that, right?

  1. I am totally dying for this right now. My husband has a great guacamole recipe, but get this, he has to leave onions and cilantro out of it! Too many of is friends and family (and me) hate them both.
    Aren’t we all the worst?

    1. haha! So basically what you are saying is you eat squishy avocados with diced tomatoes and a squirt of lime? đŸ˜›

  5. I love guacamole too…and my daughter is addicted to it. She begs me to make it for her all the time. I bet we got through 4-6 avocados here a week. My recipe is a little different from yours, but I have yet to taste a guacamole I didn’t like!

  9. after you make the Guacamole, is there anyway to store it so it does not turn brown? That is the only reason I don’t make Guacamole. Sure would like to know if you have any ideas on this. await your reply, thank, Joan

    1. Hi Joan! LIME juice! Sprinkle it on and it keeps it from turning brown. đŸ™‚
