Rice Krispies Treats are by far one of my favorite treats to make. The kids love them so much that I tend to make multiple batches because they go so fast! I love this St. Patricks Day Crispy treat recipe, because it’s the same tried and true rice krispies treat, but with just a little green. These four leaf clover rice krispies treats flew off of our counter, and I bet they will at your house as well. Check out how easy they are to make.

If you are looking for a clever St. Patrick's Day Dessert idea, you must try this delicious St. Patricks Day Four Leaf Clover Crispy Treat Recipe!

To make these delicious rice krispies treats you just need a few things on hand:

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 5 cups crispy rice cereal
  • green food coloring
  • four leaf clover cookie cutter

In a medium pan, melt the butter. Once it is fully melted, add in the marshmallows and melt them over low to medium heat. You want to melt them at a slow temperature, this helps them form better when you are finished.

After the marshmallows have completely melted, add in the food coloring. I like to add about 10 drops to get the green color I am looking for. However, if you want them to be a bit darker, you could add more green.

Once the marshmallow mixture is green, slowly stir in the crispy rice cereal. Stir and stir until they are completely covered with the marshmallows.

Pour into a prepared 9 x 13 baking dish and let them harden for a few minutes. I allow mine to sit for about 15-20 minutes.

Once formed, take the four leaf clover cookie cutter and begin cutting your shapes! It’s really super fun and easy to do, and the kids just LOVE these. They taste just like your favorite krispy treat, but with a little added flair.
