This Dole Whip Recipe is a delicious and easy treat you can make at home when you’re craving a little Hawaiian adventure or can’t make it to the theme parks! Made with frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, and vanilla ice cream.
When you are a kid the most exciting part of visiting Walt Disney World is meeting the characters. It is so magical to see your favorite character come alive and you get to visit with them. As you get older it becomes a tie between the rides and the food. If I’m ever in Magic Kingdom, I never skip a chance to grab a Disney Dole Whip to help pass the time while standing in long lines.
What is Dole Whip?
Pineapple Dole Whip is a popular Disney snack that started in Disneyland Park but has since spread to other theme parks as well. You can’t beat the great taste of a Dole Whip float when waiting in lines on a hot summer day. With just a few simple ingredients, you can bring Disney magic to your very own float at home with one of my favorite copycat recipes.
Dole Whip was originally created by the Dole fruit company but it started being sold at the Tiki Bar at Disneyland in 1986. Now you can find it sold in many places in the park. If you are grabbing this tasty treat at the park you will have to wait in a long line. You can also save a little time by using the Disneyland app to see how long the wait is.
This sweet dish is always one of my family’s favorite treats and is the perfect refreshment on a hot day.
We can’t always head to Hawaii or Disney when we have a craving for Pineapple Dole Whip (or can we?) so I’m going to show you how to make it at home. You’ll be surprised at how easy it comes together and because this recipe uses frozen pineapple, you can enjoy it year-round.
You won’t believe how fast it thickens into the perfect dessert. If you have a craving for a float, stick a few ingredients into a blender or mixer, and it’s done! It is just as good as it is at Disney and a lot cheaper when made at home.
You can also make this at home and add your own twist by making it a Boozy Dole Whip. Perfect for serving during a neighborhood cookout or family BBQ.
Your kids will think your magic when you serve up a delicious cone of Pineapple Dole Whip. or a glass serving a Dole Whip Float. It’s easy enough to make that you can make it for the end of the school party or when all the kids are having a sleepover.
