Hello Everyone! It’s Dee from Meatloaf and Melodrama, and I’m back this month with a very simple Valentine’s Day treat to share with you today. My kids love helping out in the kitchen, especially when it comes to making easy desserts and snacks.

And with Valentine’s Day coming up, I thought it would be fun for all of us to make something sweet and tasty that the kids could also hand out to friends. So, we spent a fun evening whipping up these cute and easy Valentine’s Day Pretzel Treats.

Valentine's Day Pretzel treats

I love just about anything that’s salty, but there’s something about the combination of salty and sweet that pretty much satisfies everyone. We all enjoy snacking on pretzels, but adding some candy coating and sprinkles just take them to the next level. And best of all, you only need three simple ingredients to make them!

Pair these up with Valentine Hot Chocolate Bombs for the perfect Valentine drink and snack.

How to make Easy Valentine’s Day Pretzel Treats

Ingredients:

  • Mini pretzels ( I used waffle-shaped ones, but any kind works.)
  • Candy coating, in your favorite colors
  • Candy sprinkles or mini chocolate chips

Directions for Valentine’s Day Pretzels

1. Place the candy coating in microwaveable bowls, and melt according to package directions. You can also melt them on your stove, but the microwave method always works for me.
2. When the candy is almost fully melted, remove from microwave and stir until smooth.
3. Dip the pretzels into the melted candy coating, and place on wax paper.
4. Top with candy sprinkles or mini chocolate chips, and drizzle with additional coating if desired.
5. Place in refrigerator until firm.

We made a batch of these for snacking during our weekly family game night, and they didn’t last long at all! But the kids thought these would be fun to share with their friends on Valentine’s Day, so we will definitely be making more.

You could even use different colors for an easy game day snack!

I hope you enjoy these little sweet and salty morsels as much as we did. Have a super day and let me know if you make these Valentine’s Day Pretzel Treats!

Too cute! Definitely making these for my coworkers for Valentine’s Day. I have one coworker who doesn’t like white chocolate (how can that be?!) so I’ll also make some classic chocolate ones as well. Thanks for the great idea!
