When it comes to this chocolate chip cookie bars recipe, I can assure you that it’s an amazing dessert to have on hand. When the kids hear that I’m making it, there’s always a mad dash to the kitchen to see how far along in the baking process I am.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BARS
The fun part of this recipe is that you get to decide how to cut up these bars. Do you want them big, small, or will you try your best to make them as equal as possible so that everyone gets the same amount?
I always cut myself a little bit bigger of a bar because that’s the perk of being the mom and the head baker in my house!
INGREDIENTS YOU NEED
- Yellow cake mix
- Chocolate chips
- White chocolate chips
- Vegetable oil
- Eggs
- Cinnamon
- Powdered sugar

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare a 9 x 13 baking dish with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and mix well.
Carefully fold in the chocolate chips.

Scoop into the prepared 9 x 13 baking dish and smooth out the mixture.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown around the edges.

Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing.
Serve.

Can I add in other ingredients to this cookie bar recipe?
You can. I’ve added in some chopped nuts before and also drizzled on some melted chocolate chips on top at the end as well. You can literally add in whatever flavor you want and make this cookie bars your own!
What are other cake mixes that would be good to use for this recipe?
White cake mix and chocolate cake mixes would be good as well. Just know that the coloring will change the outcome of how they look. And if you wanted to play around with a flavored cake mix, that could be a simple way to change up the flavor, too!
