I love to cook, and one of my FAVORITE desserts are brownies. These brownie owl treats are a fun and simple dessert the kids will love to make with you!
I try not to make brownies too often because I would literally eat brownies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oh yea, and dessert!
They are truly one of my favorite things to sink my teeth into. With that being said, you can always spice a brownie up for something fun! That’s what I did when I created these delicious and super cute Brownie Owl Treats.
Not only are they easy to make, but the entire family just LOVES them. Check out how easy these are to make…
My FAVORITE desserts are brownies.
I really do try not to make them too often because I would literally eat brownies all day long.
They are truly one of my favorite desserts.
With that being said, you can serve up a brownie for something fun! That’s what I did when I created these delicious and super cute Brownie Owl Treats. Not only are they easy to make, but the entire family just LOVES them.
Brownie Owl Treats
To make these delicious Brownie Owl treats, you only need a handful of items.
- Brownies (baked in an 11″ x 7″ pan and cut into 8 rectangles)
- Oreo Cookies
- Chocolate Candy Melts
- Candy Corn
- Reese’s Cups
Brownie Owl Treats
The first thing you want to do is cut your brownies into rectangles. I made sure that my brownies had cooled for 2 hours before I tried cutting them. This way they are a little less likely to crumble on you.
Next, take your Oreo cookies and take the tops off. Place the stuffing side onto the brownie to create the eyes. Then add a chocolate wafer to finish it up.
For the nose, I simply placed a candy corn right in the middle.
To create the wings, I took a regular sized Reese’s Cup and cut it in half. I then made a slight indention into the brownie with my finger and then placed the wings on. The indention is so they will stay and not fall off.
And you are DONE! All there is to do now is to serve and enjoy!

I think the “eyes” really make it! I wish I had some little ones to make it for… And I’m with you on brownies, only I am just as happy to eat the batter with a spoon – decadent:)

Love these! Can’t wait to make them. But I have a dumb brownie question! Since you’re the expert — mine are always rock hard or not cooked in the middle!! What’s the secret — what’s the magic length of time to bake them? I know it’s something I’m missing!!
Jennifer says
I make mine in an 11 x 7 and literally will bake them about 2 minutes less than required, because my oven will over bake them otherwise. I think it just depends on your oven.

another idea might be to ice the brownies with a chocolate buttercream icing, and after placing the goodies on it, use a fork to “fluff” up the exposed area to look like feathers…
Robyn says
Soooo cute! How do you get the decorations to adhere do they don’t fall off?
Jennifer says
I cheat and make finger impressions in the brownie. 🙂 My mom does cake and cookie decorating and she uses a little frosting, but these thick brownies just needed a little thumbprint pushed slightly into the brownie, and then I added everything the same way all over the brownie. Hope that helps!

I’m just now seeing these and they are DARLING! Gracious! My daughter’s home school network is having a bake sale next week and although I was already planning on making something different, I think you may have just changed my mind!
