  • eggs (room temp)
  • pure vanilla extract
  • all-purpose flour
  • baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice

Apple Dapple Cake Directions

  1. First, core, peel, and dice the granny smith apples.
  2. Next, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Then, prepare a 9-inch springform pan, including the base and sides, with nonstick baking spray.
  4. In a mixing bowl add vegetable oil, sugar, and brown sugar. Mix them together until everything is well mixed.
  5. Next, add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Then, add the vanilla, beating on medium speed until well blended.
  7. In a separate small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and nutmeg together. Whisk to blend.
  8. Then, slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  9. Beat until all ingredients are mixed well.
  10. Then, add the walnuts and apples. Blend until mixed well.
  11. Scoop the batter into the pan.
  12. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
