I love adding spaghetti or angel hair pasta with a white wine sauce, topped with parmesan cheese. But it is also a delicious meal, served alone with a buttery sauce and a side green salad.
Ingredients:
- Frozen Raw Shrimp-peeled, deveined, tail-off
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Garlic Cloves
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Paprika
- Cold Water
Instructions:
Pour water into your Instant Pot, add the frozen shrimp and all of the remaining ingredients into your Instant Pot. Close the lid and turn valve to sealing position.
Pressure cook and set time on high for 1-2 minutes by pressing the manual or pressure cook button setting on your Instant Pot.
When the Instant Pot is done, do a quick release, to release the steam.
Drain off any hot water from the cooked shrimp and serve.

Can I use fresh shrimp?
Yes, fresh raw shrimp works well with this recipe. Make sure it’s peeled, deveined and tails are cut off. You will still have delicious tender shrimp. If using fresh, but the total time cooking may need to be adjusted. Frozen shrimp is the quickest and easiest way to do this recipe and saves on prep time when you’re in a hurry and need a quick yummy recipe.
What size shrimp should I use for this shrimp recipe?
For this recipe, I prefer large and medium shrimp, however you can use smaller or jumbo shrimp for this recipe. Cooking times may need to be adjusted slightly depending on the size shrimp you use.
How do I store leftover Instant Pot Shrimp?
Because this shrimp is so good, you many not have leftovers, but if you do, you can put it into an airtight container and store it in your refrigerator for 3-4 days. Instant Pot Shrimp is also good served cold the next day with your favorite cocktail sauce and a little extra lemon juice squeezed over the top of it.
If you want to reheat this dish, simply add a little olive oil to a pan over medium heat and sauté it in a single layer until heated. Don’t sauté to long, because it can make the shrimp chewy.

This cooked shrimp is a versatile seafood it makes a complete meal by turning it into a classic shrimp scampi recipe with noodles, rice, or a side of garlic bread, or cut it up into bite sized pieces and add it to Shrimp Risotto.
