Disney Frozen Cake Recipe
I’m all about Frozen. I can’t wait for Frozen 2 to come out…and until then, all I can think about is baking anything and everything Frozen. Luckily, this cake recipe is simple to do and is always delicious.
I love whipping this up for a weekend at home but it would be super awesome for a Frozen-themed birthday party, too!

Frozen Layered Cake
This recipe calls for a few more ingredients than usual but is easy to make and perfect for this time of year!
White Chocolate Snowflake Ingredients
- Ghirardelli white chocolate melting chips
Vanilla Frosting
2 Jars of White Icing or you can make homemade icing with the recipe below.
- 3 C unsalted sweet cream
butter, softened - 6 C powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 5-6 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- sky blue gel food coloring
Blue Ombre White Cake
- whole milk
- vanilla extract
- unsalted sweet cream butter
- sugar
- flour
- baking powder
- egg whites
- Sky blue gel food coloring

How to Make Chocolate Snowflake
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave on 30 second increments and scoop it into a disposable piping bag. Cut the tip-off and pipe out about 20 thick snowflakes in different sizes
Allow them to dry overnight!

How to Make a Frozen Themed Layered Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray all 3 cake pan with pam baking spray and set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla and set that aside.
Using a standing mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until it’s light and fluffy
Next, in a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder
Alternating between the milk and dry ingredients, gradually pour into the butter mixture. Mixing on low to medium speed until combined
Using another large mixing bowl and a hand mixer, beat the eggs until stiff peaks form
Fold the eggs into the cake batter. Finally, divide the batter evenly between three mixing bowls
Leave one bowl white – In the second bowl, mix in 2 drops of sky blue gel food coloring – In the third bowl, mix in 5-6 drops of sky blue gel food coloring and pour each batter into their own pan.
Bake the cakes in the oven for 23-26 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean in the center.
Allow the cakes to cool completely before removing them from the cake pans.
When the cakes have cooled place the cakes onto a cutting board and using a cake slicer, remove the domes from the cakes.

Ingredients
- 3 9 inch round cake pans
- 3 sheets of parchment paper
- 1 10 inch round cake board
- 1 C whole milk
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 2 C sugar
- 3 C flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 5 large egg whites
- Sky blue gel food coloring
Vanilla Frosting
- 3 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 6 C powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 5-6 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- sky blue gel food coloring
Optional Icing
- 2-3 jars Store-bought white icing if you prefer to skip making homemade icing.

- Scoop about 1 C of frosting onto the first layer and smooth out with an angled spatula
- Place the lighter blue layer of cake onto the first layer of frosting
- Scoop another cup of frosting onto the second layer of cake and smooth it out evenly
- Place the last layer of cake onto the second layer of frosting
- Scoop remaining white frosting onto the cake and cover completely
- Using the angled spatula, scoop some blue icing onto the white cake in random places.
- Smooth the frosting evenly
- Carefully place the white chocolate snowflakes randomly all over the cake
