You’ll just blend a few simple ingredients like Gatorade, sugar, a couple of drops of food coloring, and ice, to create this mythical and very magical drink!
Gather your ingredients:
- Green Gatorade
- 2 tablespoons of Sugar
- Green Food Coloring
- Blue Gatorade
- Blue Food Coloring
- Purple G2 Gatorade
- Red Food Coloring
- Ice
How do you make a mermaid slushy?
Start by filling your blender about halfway with green Gatorade, sugar, and 2 drops of green food coloring then fill another 1/4 of the way with Ice.
Blend on high for about 1 minute.
Pour it into a glass, filling it about 1/3 of the way, and place your glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
While that’s in the freezer, rinse the blender and fill it halfway with blue Gatorade, 1/4 of the way with ice, and 2 drops of blue food coloring.
Blend on high for about 1 minute. (so basically you are just repeating the steps with a couple of colors/flavors)
Pour the blue slushy into a glass, filling another 1/3 of the way, and place it back in the freezer for 10 minutes. You do not want to freeze it solid.
Layered Mermaid Slushies
Rinse your blender one more time and repeat the process with purple G2 Gatorade, ice, 1 drop of red food coloring, and 1 drop of blue food coloring. It turns into a pretty purple color.
Blend it on high for one minute and fill the glass the remainder of the way.
